| Having Your Vehicle Towed |

In a perfect world there would be no need for tow trucks or automotive repair facilities. Unfortunately the occasional tow is a fact of life. None of us enjoys breaking down, but knowing what to do when breakdowns occur can relieve some of the stress. If your car quits while driving, the first thing you should do is coast to a safe place by the side of the road or preferably a parking lot. Turn on your emergency flashers. If there is a chance an accident could happen, move away from your vehicle to a safe place. Obviously if your vehicle dies while you are driving and won't restart, you need to call a tow truck. It is also best to call a tow truck if your vehicle starts running badly or overheating. The cost of the tow could be a lot less than the cost of repairing additional damage that may occur if you continue to drive the vehicle. A cell phone is probably the handiest thing you can have in your car. © 2005 Furrin Auto and PAC |
